A student who is found to have sought unfair advantage by submitting for assessment a piece of written work which either in whole or in part makes unacknowledged use of, or reference to, the work of others, including internet sources, or by taking into an examination room unauthorised material, or by copying the work of another student in an examination, shall be liable to:

  • suspension of candidature for the degree, or
  • failure of the unit for which the written work or examination was undertaken, or
  • the loss of all marks for the written work or examination.

Procedures for dealing with plagiarism are set out on the MCD website.
