	Rev. Dr Ian Murdoch sdb PhD (Monash) Department of Church History Rev. Dr Ian Murdoch is a member of the Department of Church History and teaches in medieval and modern church history, and Salesian education and spirituality. He is a priest of the Salesians of Don Bosco (sdb).
	Among the units he teaches are: CH209/309 The Church in the Middle Ages CH220/320 The Council in History: John XXIII and Vatican II CH314/414 The Great Schism of the West: 1378-1417 CH334/434 Bonaventure, ‘The Life of St Francis’ CH420 The Council in History: John XXIII and Vatican II CH437 The Apostolic Poverty Controversy, 1322 - c.1340: Texts and Interpretations He also coordinates the units: DS103 Studies in Salesian Education and Spirituality A DS104 Studies in Salesian Education and Spirituality B
	Ian Murdoch holds the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from Monash University, with a critical edition of Pierre D’Ailly’s Abbreviatio dyalogi Okan, a work which casts light on the textual tradition of Ockham's Dialogue and on d'Ailly's use of Ockham. He is the immediate past Provincial of the Salesians in Australia and Oceania.
