Department of Church History

Kathleen McCarthy is a member of the Church History Department and lectures in Reformation history.

She teaches in and coordinates the units:

   

Kathleen McCarthy holds an honours degree in arts from the University of Queensland, a Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity. She was head of the History Department at Sacré Coeur College (Glen Iris; 1968-1985), and Chief Examiner for the Higher School Certificate in the State of Victoria for Renaissance-Reformation History (1978-1984).

Her main academic interest is how the doctrines and spirituality of the Catholic Reformation era are transmitted through art and architecture.
