Head, Department of Pastoral and General Studies
Rev. William (Bill) Attard is Head of the Department of Pastoral and General Studies, and lectures in Pastoral Studies. He is a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.
The units he teaches include:
Bill Attard holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity, and a Bachelor of Education from Latrobe University. He pursued further studies in psychology at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome), where he gained a Licentiate in Psychology. He is the Parish Priest of St Michael’s, Ashburton. He is also a counselling psychologist in private practice, a spiritual director and supervisor, and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He presents regularly at institutes of spirituality, clergy conferences and houses of formation.
His main academic interest is the integration of spirituality and the social sciences.
