Rev. Dr Michael McEntee is a member of the Department of Pastoral and General Studies. He lectures in The Art and Craft of Preaching. He is a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, and is the parish priest of St St Patrick's, Mentone and St John Vianney's, Parkdale.

He is on the following Archdiocese of Melbourne Committees: Board of Consultors, Personnel Advisory Board, Archbishop's Council of Priests and the Commission for Priestly Life and Ministry. He is the Canonical Administrator at Loyola College, Watsonia and School Chaplain at Loyloa college, Watsonia, Parade College, Bundoora and Catholic Ladies College, Eltham.

Michael holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Urban University (Rome).
 
Michael's current academic interests including areas of research are: Homiletics and Theology of Orders, particularly the Order of Deacon.
 
His recent publications or academic presentations include: Report: Seminary Formation in the Catholic Church in New Zealand (December 2014) 58 pages, and In preparation: Basic Norms for Formation and Directory for the Ministry and life of Permanent Deacons in the Catholic Church of Australia.
