Department of Moral Theology and Canon Law

Rev. Monsignor Anthony (Tony) Ireland is a member of the Department of Moral Theology and Canon Law and lectures in Moral Theology. He is a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, and the parish priest of St Gregory's, Doncaster.

Tony Ireland holds the degrees of Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity, Master of Arts in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical University of St Thomas (Rome), Licentiate in Sacred Theology (Moral Theology) from the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome), and Doctor of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St Thomas (Rome).

Monsignor Ireland is the Episcopal Vicar for Health and Aged Care in the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. In the name of the Archbishop of Melbourne, he represents the Catholic Church as a Council member of the Health Chaplaincy Council of Victoria Inc.; He is a Director of Catholic Capital Grants (Victoria) Ltd.; Archbishop Hart has appointed him as a board member of the Catholic Development Fund for the Melbourne Archdiocese.  He is currently a member of the Melbourne Health Human Research Ethics Committee. Monsignor Ireland is the Spiritual Adviser to the Victorian State Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
