Rev. Dr Christopher Shorrock is Head of the Department of Church History, a member of the Department of Pastoral and General Studies Department and of the Department of Systematic Theoology.  He lectures in Medieval history, Franciscan Studies,  and Marian Studies.  He is a priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual (ofm conv).

The undergraduate units he teaches include:

• CD220/320 History and Theology of Marian Doctrine and Devotion (10 points)
• CH107/207 Origins of the Franciscan Evangelical Movement
• CH108/208 Writings of Francis and Clare
• DS125/225 Origins of the Franciscan Evangelical Movement
• DS126/226 Writings of Francis and Clare

The postgraduate units he teaches include:

• CD320 History and Theology of Marian Doctrine and Devotion (10 points)
• CH350 Introduction to Church History: Early Church, Middle Ages, Reformation [Middle Ages]

He coordinates the units:

• CH140 Introduction to Church History: Early Church, Middle Ages, Reformation

Christopher Shorrock holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity, a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Faculty of St Bonaventure (Rome), and a Doctor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity.

He is a Visiting Lecturer at the Franciscan International Study Centre (Canterbury, UK), where he teaches Franciscan History and Franciscan Mariology.  He is the Rector of St Joseph of Cupertino House of Studies (Dingley), for the Conventual Franciscans, and the Provincial Treasurer for the Order.

His current academic interests are Franciscan Spirituality, Church History and Mariology.
