Kathleen McCarthy is a member of the Department of Church History and lectures in Reformation history.

Kathleen McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Queensland, a Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity.

She was head of the History Department at Sacré Coeur College (Glen Iris; 1968-1985), and Chief Examiner for the Higher School Certificate in the State of Victoria for Renaissance-Reformation History (1978-1984).

Kathleen's most recent publication is "Calvin's Theology of the Lord's Supper" in Proceedings of the Uniting Church Historical Society Synod of Victoria & Tasmania (2009).

Her main academic interest is how the doctrines and spirituality of the Catholic Reformation era are transmitted through art and architecture.
