The Graduate Certificate in Teaching Religious Education is designed for those seeking Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in Catholic schools. It provides an opportunity for students to develop and deepen their understanding of scripture, theology and religious education, so as to assist them in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of programs of religious education.Venue:
Corpus Christi School, 29 Russell Street, Werribee
Entry Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 5 years relevant work experience or professional attainment
Structure
45 credit points:
- BS360 Sacred Scripture: A Foundation for Teaching Religious Education (10 points)
- CD360 Foundational Theology for Teaching Religious Education (10 points)
- CD361 Living Christian Faith: Sacramental and Moral Life (15 Points)
- DR360 Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Religious Education (10 points)
All GradCertTeachRE units are taught intensively, on four Saturdays, 9.30am − 4.30pm
