Doctor of Philosophy - PhD
The Doctor of Philosophy involves the writing of a thesis or project normally incorporating theology with interdisciplinary study.Entry Requirements
| Bachelor degree with Honours (High Distinction or Distinction) in an appropriate discipline (e.g. theology or ministry) or equivalent professional or academic attainment, including a 12,000-word research essay of distinction standard |

Entry by Upgrade
after satisfactory progress as candidate for a Master of Arts (Research), a student may apply for candidature to be upgraded to Doctor of Philosophy
Structure
- one approved research methodologies unit
- thesis of 100,000 words maximum
or equivalent (e.g. exegeted research project)

| full-time: | 2½ – 3 years | (with two 6-month extensions available) |
| part-time: | 2½ – 6 years |
