Rev. Dr Laurence McNamara CM is a lecturer at Catholic Theological College and is a member of the Department of Moral Theology and Canon Law and is the Department co-ordinator of Pastoral and General Studies, and one of the Directors of the Centre for Human Ageing.

The postgraduate units he teaches include: 
He holds a Licence in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, a Masters of Letters from Oxford University, and a PhD from the University of Adelaide.

He has Lectured in Moral Theology/Christian ethics at St Francis Xavier Seminary, SA, Catholic Theological College, Adelaide College of Divinity, Flinders University of South Australia, Catholic Institute of Sydney, and Catholic Theological College.
 
His current academic interests including areas of research are: Human Ageing: theology, spirituality, pastoral care, and ethics.
